– Initial consultation to establish a brief
I listen carefully to your ideas and comments, take photos and assess your space and any challenges presenting, and discuss budget. Once your requirements are established you will receive a breakdown of fees for your garden design.
– Site survey
A survey of your garden is made to establish measurements , aspect, soil type and any specific conditions.
– Initial ideas for your garden are discussed with you using rough plans and sometimes a mood board. These are modified to your preferences.
– Final scaled plans
We draw up the plans including construction drawings where required, and specifications for the landscaper.
I can suggest landscapers to build your garden and oversee them if you require.
The planting in a garden is highly individual. I aim to help you create planting in your garden that you love as a whole garden design, refreshing a tired border, or tackling an area that is more difficult.
– I will arrange a visit to your garden to talk through your thoughts and ideas, as well as your likes/ dislikes, colour and types of plants you prefer.Photos and measurements of the space will be taken and soil and aspect of the garden assessed.
– A palette of plants is researched that thrive in the conditions in your garden and meet your individual preferences. This is sent to you for consideration before a detailed planting plan is drawn up pulling together groups of plants that complement each other and create a harmonious whole.
– Sourcing plants, ordering, setting out and planting for you can all be included in this service. Also included is a free maintenance plan to help you look after your new planting scheme and a visit 3 months post planting to make sure all is well.
If you have an area of your garden that is not working as you would like it to, I can offer a consultation visit to discuss it with you.
Alternatively you may wish to develop your garden but not quite know where to start. I offer a package for 1 year where I visit monthly and garden alongside you, making suggestions and showing you how to care for the plants you have, helping you choose new plants , improve the soil, develop habitats for wildlife and create a sustainable place for you to enjoy.
