Sage Gardens Projects

We have been lucky enough to work on some wonderful projects. Here are some details from some of our favourites.

New-build small garden

The owners of this small north facing back garden requested the space be opened up to make room for more diverse planting, a lawn, a water feature and a patio with a cottage -garden style path leading up to it. Views to the field beyond were retained and framed and several mature shrubs carefully pruned to add height and structure.

The owners were keen to plant the area themselves with some initial guidance regarding key plants.

Family garden

The owners of this mature family garden in Berkhamsted are keen gardeners and principally needed more space to plant in a sunnier area of the garden. The garden slopes away from the house and was previously accessed by steep steps. By using a grass step we created a link between the house and garden, unifying the two spaces, and the lawn was reshaped to to create more planting space in the sunnier areas.

Community garden

This garden was developed with the community of a church in  Mile End, London as a space for hospitality, a parent and toddler group, and a place to grow veg. As a former school playground it needed greening up to provide a relaxing space in a built up environment.
